SAP Business One is a highly flexible product which enables the user to personalise the screen layouts to suit individual needs. This capability is a standard feature.

Usability Pack is a tool which takes this flexibility on to an even higher level enabling users to make even more radical changes to the Look and Feel of SAP Business One.

In addition to modifying screen layouts, users can add specific Function Buttons and place them strategically on frequently used screens. What is a function button? Basically it is a button you can create which will execute a pre-determined procedure (e.g.: run a query, launch a report, launch another data entry screen, etc…).

Some examples include:

  • Move fields of information around the screen to a location that is more comfortable for the operator to use
  • Re-label fields using terminology familiar to the user
  • Bring custom fields you have created straight onto the standard screen where they can be used more easily
  • Add function buttons to the standard screens and place them where they are most convenient (e.g.: Launch a Custom Report you have written by clicking on a button you have created and placed on a standard screen such as a Sales Quotation, Sales Order or Invoice Entry)
  • Remove un-used data fields from your screens (this includes standard fields) – Systems are generally easier to use and will be adapted more quickly when the operator can only see fields of data which are absolutely necessary
